I got my start with old cars by building scale models eventually going on to the real stuff. My first street rod was a 1938 Chevy coupe which I bought from a salvage yard in 1971. It ran a '57 235 with 3 speed. A couple of other cars I've had were a '55 Chevy BelAir 2 door hardtop which I drove out to central California and back a couple of times while stationed at NAS Lemoore. I had a '34 Ford 3 window coupe with a 347 Pontiac with 3 deuces and 4 speed Hydromatic for about 15 years. My '50 SD has been a ground up rebuild and I've been driving it for a couple of years. The '53 Convert is still a work in progress. I'm still not sure of the direction I want to take with the pick up.Interact
