I was fascinated by vehicles since I was young. My Family, with the exception of my Grandpa, really wasn't. My grandfather was owed some money by a friend, who paid him back with a 67' Mustang. At the age of 12, him and I started restoring the car and finished when I was 14. I never got to drive it since my uncle "needed" a car to use for work. So I got a 67' Galaxie and gave it the same treatment. I was lucky enough at that time to be able to have a car with a swapped in 427 FE engine. After that, it was various Volkswagens and other things and then on to British bikes. I had always wanted to build an open wheeled hot rod but never had the resources. At age 29, I Met the love of my life, and unbeknownst to me, her dad was a funnycar driver in the 60's and 70's and current hotrodder. They say "it's all in who you know" so through my relationship with her and her family I was lucky enough to acquire knowledge and resources to begin building the rod I always wanted to build.
