Angel Martinez:Grew up in Salinas. Watched pops weld, grind, mud, primer, and paint. Coat tailed to all the shows he went to.....from the Monterey Kar Kapades to Rod Powell's Picnic. Couldn't leave cars alone since then. Started my life as a lowrider with a '82 Caddy coupe de ville. Crazy candy graphics, rod powell blowouts and mad striping, hydraulics, etc. Former member of The Imperials CC NorCal chapter.That gave me a taste of some seriously crazy modifications and showstopping paint. During that time, my dad had a shop(Universal Customs) right next to Cole Foster. I saw my dad do a million suicide doors, reverse trunks, tilt front ends, and pretty much anything you can do to a car as a fabricator. Even the occasional turntable for the shows(Loco '64). Osmosis was inevitable, I got the radical modification itch and turned my attention to old iron. Been having the time of my life since....
