Ive been into hot rods since I saw my first Mag (1974 R&C) with Pet and Jakes cars on the cover. I went on to build a Ford Pop (Anglia) with a 215 buick(Rover) and later 351 CJ Ford, by the time I was 16. however life took hold over the intervening years and apart from a few weirdies I have only admired hot rods from a distance until '04. In '04 to coincide with my 40th and divorce I took a trip to the US and ended up at Bonneville for Speed Week...... Wow!!!!! While there I met Tony Thacker (of SoCal now NHRA Museum), Jimmy Shine, John Reid and Pete Chapouris (remember my first Mag). We became Buddies and I crewed on the team for the week and ended up going back to LA and spending a weekend with the guys. Since then I have purchased a Rover Ten and I am in the process of building my own first Hot Rod.
