Rocket Girl 88

My father owned over 80 different cars during his lifetime. His all time favorite and his passion was 1955 Oldsmobiles, having owned around 15-17 of them between 1959 and his passing in 2002. As a newborn, I was brought home in a 1956 Olds, so that was the make of choice and it stuck with me. Because Daddy's love for them was so strong it rubbed off on me as I was growing up. Some of my fondest memories of being with him were sitting up all night, drinking coffee, and listening to him tell me his car stories and experiences surrounding them. Traffic light races when he was a teen, inventing a snack warmer to go under the hood of one of his cars etc. Since I was the only child, I was the one who had to go out and help him when he worked on the cars. I was mainly a go-fer for tools but by being around, I did learn to rebuild the Rochester 4bbl carbs and do a few basic things on them.
Thanks to Sirwoosh for telling me about H.A.M.B. He bought one of our 55's and gave it a loving new home.
