It's not just a hobby it's an illness.Been working on cars since early teens.First engine swap no adults involved at 14. First auto to manual swap at 15.First v8 into a Vega at 15. Auto tech 1 and 2 and votech auto body in high school.Preston McCall automotive restorations during my college years,then a 17 year stretch in a mom and pop parts,repairs, machine shop,did everything there from parts to machine work.I moved onto acreage and filled a horse barn full of old cars,parts and tools back in 01 so the city and neighbors would quit messing with me.Done about everything you can do to an automobile and some that you shouldn't.Interact

Automotive super weirdo for decades now. I'm the guy that takes the junk crank w a bad rod bearing and makes an offset grind stroker out of it. The guy who puts a big block Pontiac in place of a small block olds ,or a big block buick into whatever just because. The automotive stupidity goes on and on. Luckily I have lots of time tools and patience.Sadly the machine shop I worked at has closed so no more access to the really cool tools.
