Late bloomer, I reckon; my grandfather was a GM mechanic at a Chevy dealership and I always wanted to learn from him about fixing cars. But, I was a guitarist and started becoming a luthier as a teenager. I was too afraid of damaging my hands and screwing up my career if I became a mechanic. I missed out on a lot of good memories, I guess.
A couple years ago I decided I wanted to build some cars with my kids, so I bought a couple projects and here I am. The kids are diggin' it too.Interact
