All of Em? Gezz, a metropoliton, uhh..Kiddin.. two 67 chevy panels, 84 monte carlo LS , 38 chev p/up project, 79 jeep cj 7 304 v/8, 84 Blue Bird All American Schoolie, Tahiti Jetboat/429 Ford, umm, those ain't cars, and other stuff
I'm too old to say how old, I'll give ya a hint, I was born in 53, go figure! but my first car was a 40 model buick my Dad gave me, straight 8, no seat covers, just springs, gas tank rotted, but a boat motor gas tank worked. The old engine was locked up, so I pulled the plugs and soaked it, stuck a 12 volt battery on it and got my Uncle to pull me up and down the road til it broke loose. It ran ok with the choke out.. Then I traded for a 52 ford flatty, learned to lap the Valves on it, then a 56 ford with a 312 t-bird engine, I ran it till it rattled loudly, beat the firewall back and stuck a 62 390 t-bird engine in it, chrome wheels from woolco, $11.88 a piece I think, plus an 8 track stereo, then I traded for a cherry Red 62 T-bird/390, then I swapped for a 55 chevy 2dr 365hp/327, which my Dad blew up for me, which I traded for a 56 chevy 2dr wagon and built an .80 over 283 with a duntov 098 cam, no rollers, no guide plates, Poor boy racing.. then I got a 64 malibu 6 cyl body and stuck my first BB chevy in it, and of course it went to the ground in the front. The old 396 was heavier than the six.. yep! single track rear end would smoke a tire til it blew! after that was a 63 shoebox Nova that had a 4 cylinder in it and rusted floor boards, but I stuck a 327/ small journal, solid cam which was the old 30/30 cam, which I think is the same as the 290 hp z/28 cam, then I built a 65 GTO small block chevy. It had tall gears for the 389 and the little small block would do about 60 mph in low..oh boy! Of course the clutch was tougher than the old Muncie 4 speed, so I learned how to Build one from parts. Since then I've owned a 66 396/360hp Chevelle 4 spd, a 67 malibu 283, a Genuine 69 Camero Rag Top Pace Car, white/orange stripes, 300hp/350 4 spd, no A/C, a 69 ragtop vette with a 300hp/350 4 speed, a 69 Malibu 307 three on the tree, that I stuck a 302 Z/28 with the Z off road solid in it and a Muncie M22, then I had a 71 Chevelle SS with a 402 BB in it, then I traded a Motorcycle (650 BSA Lightning) for a nice 57 chevy P/up with a 375hp/327, two AFBs, four speed Borg/warner black and white roll pleated buckets, with a short shifter between em. That truck was a little Squirrely when I dumped the clutch.. Yep! A 2x4s 327 positrac and Straight Axle, short shifter makes for ditch to ditch umm Fun? Anyways a few details about me? I've own a 67 GT Fairlane 390/335hp, a 67 mustang GT fastback, 390 car, a 66 fairlane 427/425 hp, Plus other Cars and trucks, but Thats all History. I still have some project stuff. I'm a Bodyman/painter/mechanic by trade, and I suppose I'm ok at it. I like custom paint work and I also do Frame work. I have Built no telling how many Totals, cut em in two and it takes another Bodyman to tell where I did it. I've worked Combination Paint/Body at several shops and I've worked as a Line Mechanic in several Dealerships Doing Front end Alignments, Brakes, Tuneups, carbs and Engine overhauls. I really Enjoy Plugging into Supertunin
