Began drawing hot rods at school, as we all did I guess. Got driving licence at 15, first car was a '36 slant back ford sedan with '48 merc V8 and running gear. Bonnet off to show the motor, mates and me were kings, or so we thought. It was the NZ hot rod mag and cars such as wild honey that got me in to rods and such. '56 Bel air, '64 polara followed and then overseas jaunts scuppered the owning of any real neat cars apart from a couple of monaro's. Now an artist and all I can do is draw and paint my dream cars and memories of them.
