When I was 14, I saw a 32 Ford coupe rumble by while I was walking up the street. That did it. I was hooked. Did the model thing, then bought my first car at age 15 - 1947 Ford. From there it went to a 1956 Ford, a 1957 Chev, a 1931 Ford, a 1954 F100 and on and on. Pretty much gave it up while raising my family. Just a few custom touches like chrome wheels and dual exhaust to the family cars ( 63 Pontiac, 72 Chevelle, 76 Ford F250, etc.) When the kids were through school, it was my turn. I bought a fixer upper '40 Ford pickup and did a frame off restomod. Flathead power, chrome wheels, tuck and roll, and stock body and trim. Now I am building a Model A coupe. I just finished the body work and am waiting for the painter to find me a spot in the booth. This one will also be a 1960's style build with stock body, torque thrust wheels, and lots of power. Update: The model A has been done for a couple of years now. It is a fenderless car but I have been wanting to make it full fendered now. I am working on that occasionally. Not as ambitious these days. Still own both vehicles and drive them both when the weather permits.
