Growing up along the Rio Grande River in the late 50s and 60s we did the drag racing scene and everyone was building something that was cool and driveable. Unfortunately I had to buddy up with my pals because my dad was a purist and liked to restore them not chop them. My 51 Chevy pickup was stock because of the farm work and dad would not allow any modifications.

I always had an interest and now that the kids are gone, I can afford my hobby. It also helps to have a friend down the street that has built a few rods and he rekindled my desire to get back into hot rodding.
