I'm 43 and figure I was born with rust in the blood. Grew up with lots of old cars, mainly Model 'Ts. Dad had a TON of 'T parts and while in his old age he wanted to restore everything, that wasn't always the case. I have an old pic of a hand built model T speedster he made as a teenager, and he had a sweet 36 humpback in his twentys. I remember the 59 Impala Convert with a 348/4bbl/4spd, the 52 Merc sedan, 24 Star Coupe, 30 Model A pu with 32 grille and flathead 60, a chopped Model A coupe body sat in the barn for years, plus more stuff than I have time to type. Unfortunately everything slowly had to be sold so we could keep up with all the Dr. bills while he died of Altzheimers. Fast forward 19 years and now I am married with three boys ages 14,12,and 7. Just recently had to re-locate due to the economy. Born in Salem, Or. lived just outside of Newport,Or. for over 16 years, and just moved to Lusk, Wy 6months ago. Had my own business in Newport that I had to close down after 6 years of ownership due to the failing economy. Had to sell all my projects to keep the doors open and food on the table. Now I'm living 16miles from my sister and her fam, and work at the local bodyshop. LOVE my job !! I was able to get my 64 Falcon back right before we moved, and now I'm making up for lost time by dragging home every old piece of tin I can find out on the praire. Its a blast locating this old tin again.
