I now run the family body shop that my brother and father ran. Previously I was a shops teacher...best job in the world if you can handle the worst customers! My dad was a mechanic and later became a bodyman. He could fix anything...as a child it was amazing to watch. I spent a lot of saturdays at the shop with him or weekends in the garage building and modifying and restoring; he was my greatest influence. The first hot rod I saw was my brothers 55 Bel Air, it was black and white with a fiberglass front clip and cherry bombs...I think I was 7 years old, I still can't find the words to describe how I felt when he hit gas pedal and I got thrown back into the seat.
