    Grew up in a town called Broad Channel In Queens New York.There was an awesome Speed Shop called 'ISLAND PORTING" Great machine work ,great fabrication.The cars during that time were the thing.The time period was in early 70's.Til 80's.These guys naturally had other competetors and often other shops would come and cruise in.Pete Kenny was the head machinist.I was their gopher .Made great tips runnin for hot dogs,coffee and BEER.Yep the hot dog/clam bar across would serve me as long as I was runnin across to the Speed Shop.When I finally got my 69 ElCamino.Pete helped me set up an awesom 327.He always told me he would.If anyone is ever in the Punta Gorda part of Florida,a must see is MUSCLE CAR CITY.The owner Rick Treworgy has the largest GM ONLY collection around.Every yr corvette ,in many different models,along with camaros Elkys and u name it ,if its a GM muscle car its there.OVER 230 cars on display in a Walmart Rick bought over
