I am a retired heavy equipment operater and welder. retired from a union coal mine. My wife and i built a 47 Ford coupe and sold it. The 39 2 dr. i am building now was my first car and got it in 1963. I ran a 200 hp. Buick engine in it at that time. I am building it with a 302 lincoln engine now, with the original trans changed to open driveshaft and 8" ford rear. I am keeping the original front straight axle and adding a swaybar and disc brakes. I willl use adapters to maintain original type wheels and original hubcaps. The wheels are 15" X 5" made by the Dayton wheel company. I have been employed in salvage yards, tire shops, stone quarries, Ford and Chyrsler garages as a mechanic and coal mines.
