1949 Ford Tudor
1951 Chevy hardtop
- none
First started turning wrenches on a 1952 Chevy Deluxe 4 door, that I saved from the crusher, paid $750 and drove it for a couple of years until I ended up trading it for a 1949 Chevy Fleetline 2 door. Never really was able to get much done on this car as I was on active duty with the USMC, and deployments were hot and heavy so I ended up selling it.
Needed a daily driver, and living in SoCal I bought a 1966 VW Bug, restored it and drove it for awhile then ended up selling it at Pomona.
Next I found a 1967 VW Kombi Bus, started to work on it but then ended up getting orders, where I would have ZERO time for cars, so it had to go.
Once I again had some time I got a 1964 Chevy Truck, Brown Sugar, drove and worked on it for awhile then again, sold it.
A couple of years later I picked up a a 1950 Chevy Deluxe 2 door, where WE proceeded to channel it 5", shave everything, and complete the bag set up. Then retirement from the USMC came up, with the economy like it was and no job, I went ahead and put it for sale.
Retired and working I found a sixties car, ended up getting a 1961 Ford Falcon 4 door, cool little car to putt around in.
But by chance I came across a 1949 Ford Tudor, that had been chopped, shaved, frenched etc! YOU CAN'T PASS THAT UP!
So it was goodbye Falcon, now it 's time for the tail dragger...Interact
