I bought my '56 Ford Vicky about 5-yrs ago. WOW! that long, huh? Anyway I have yet to really get it running. It has a 292 Y-Block w/FOM. I have converted to front disc brakes. I also converted the steering to R&P. That's the reason for the excitement when I found the Steering Column Saver Horn Kit. I want to use my original steering column with the Fat Man R&P conversion. Pre-58 cars have the horn wire running down the center of the streering shaft. Anyway I thought I would share the news. I also just bought a 292 w/COM from a '61 Ford car. I want to make that switch soon. My engine has issues and I wanted a tranny that would use all 3 forward speeds. I've been a car nut since forever and fifty yrs. Like everything but am most fond of Fords. I also like Buick Nailheads. I like the cool looking finned rochker covers that set flat. I had a '57 Merc when I was in Highschool and could never find a V-8 that sounded any better. That's why I am keeping the Y-Block. Anyway, I think that this summer is the year of the cruise for the ole Vicky.
