I got into old cars after seeing a 55 Chevy at a girlfriends bday party. I knew grandma had an old chevy sitting in her gargage used as storeage. It was a 56 4dr with a 235 six cyl. After meeting the owner of the hot rodded 55 and taking a ride in it I was hooked. Taking a piece of rolling art and making it a functional driver was an inspiring thought. I was fotuneate to learn how to restore grandmas 56 after work and weekends from a mentor who ended up owning an automotive repair shop. I love working on my cars myself by reading and learning from others. Marriage and children had slowed me down, but now as they are getting older, and interested, I can share my hobby with my kids.
