- ...gotta get a car on the road first!
I Grew up in glorious Spokane Washington and could not help but catch the car bug...despite being chased around on my skateboard by evil stoners in their muscle cars. After leaving Eastern Washington in 1987 I took off to Maine. Maui for a little while (where I got bit by the surf bug). On to the mountains of Colorado, Gulf Coast Alabama (where I lived in a van down by the river) then I took a short visit to Seattle...which lasted 20 years.
In Seattle I fell into the metal fabrication trade and worked up the ladder to become a partner in a metal fab and design shop. We did mostly furniture and architectural projects. My spare time was spent exploring the North West Coast, making surfboards and playing primitive music.
Since 2007 I have lived with my sweety on The Big Island of Hawaii. I have been slowly gathering parts and knowledge for a '31 sedan delivery project. I'm inspired by the things I have seen Thee Inland Emperors do over the years, my Dad, my Mom's love of cars, my crazy uncles, "make anything" grandpa, local old hot rod guys and all the folks here on the HAMB. Thanks to all who keep this thing running.
Aloha,
Steve
Edit: (Sept. '14 ) started building a 1925 T Roadster! B banger, Model A frame and rear end, '34 axle. 19" Chevrolet wires. Shooting for a basic prewar supe job. Wish me luck...
