About 16-months ago, because of this horrible economy, I had to close my private Architectural office and go into retirement. Since that 'retirement' I've been working on my '41 Ford pickup project using parts that I'd been buying over the last 6-years. I got into Hot Rods seven years ago after meeting the new husband of my wife's best girl friend. He is a hard core Ford hot rod guy who has a lot of cars, a lot of knowledge he is eager to share and a compatible personality. He has become one of my best friends. I'm a newbie to the hobby, don't have a great resume of past mechanic experience but I'm a stuborn, DYI type guy with an 'I can do that' attitude. I've learned a lot about '41 Ford pickups with 327 SBC engines in the last year of really working full out on my project. I often get frustrated when I realise how much more work I have to do and how much more I need to research and learn.
