i'm 69yo, been working on cars since 1964. got into vws when i worked at a hippy garage right out of high school, worked at independent shops, and dealers, (vw/porsche), built various hotrods, got into 1949 cadillacs in 1974 and still have the first one, had several 40s buicks, several 911s, into diamond t trucks at the moment. i run a porsche repair shop servicing air cooled 911s only. (john walker's workshop). just me, no employees. got to keep at least 1/2 the shop for hobby stuff, which would be hard with employees.
