In 1957 I saw the August 57 issue of HOT ROD magazine with Tommy Ivo's "T" and that started my heart pumping. I was 15. My first ride in a black 32 3 window back in 59 from a rodder who worked at a gas station at Melrose and Highland in Hollywood also started my juices flowing. It had an Olds w/3 deuces, white tuck and roll, whitewalls w/baby moons, a rake and it kept my heart pumping to this very day. I hung out with P-Wood, Eric Vaughn and Chapouris at the Temple City Shiop back in the 70's and worked for Larry Watson in the early sixties sanding cars until my fingers bled. A good way to remove your fingerprints. Cruised Bellflower, the Clock, Harvey's Broiler, Henry's in Alhambra and Arcadia and Bob's in Pasadena and Whittier Blvd. in the early days while listening to Wolfman Jack. Built some nice cars in my day and will do one last , 50 Ford, stealth, low, full flathead, black, blackwalls w/povertys and sounding and looking badass!!!
