I grew up down the street from a few guys that were young Hot Rodders. David Morris and Steve Hand. My farther was a truck driver and was gone alot. He also was an old drag racer. I would spend evey hour I could at their house just watching them work and build old cars. Then they started taking me to the track in Ardmore Ok when i was 9 or so. I started pouring water for the cars in the water box. Time passed and I started racing the 66 Nova I still have today. I switched over to motorcycles in the early 90's I race A Funny Bike for 10 year and set several world records. 6.45 at 211. I crashed a few times had a few kids and my Safey Consulting firm was growing fast and all my buddies were still in the car gig. I built a 1963 corvette blown BBC. Raced it a few years. Now I have a 1953 Studebaker with a BAE HEMI 6 with a screw charger. The best so far is 6.20 239.78 mph. I have raced several of the GoodGuy races with the 63 and won best eng twice with it and was #1 qual in the A/gas class in Indy. I have the HAMB dragster because it is fun and not any work compaired to the other hot rods I have. I also still hang with David and Steve at the old time drags. I also enjoy all the old stories from the diffrent tracks. hope to see you at the races soon.
