Old school geezer. Been here for 70 years.....Now it's 74!!
When did all this happen? Originally from Boston. Very into antique and classic aircraft. Also, real hot rods ala 1950s.
Crewed with Team Bowmaker Formula One car for Bob Anderson, Brighton, England, back in the 1960s...Ex-Surtees Lola Climax. After this was a Brabham F1 for Bob. I was a crew member on a USRRC Cooper-Monaco Chev. Then in the 60s I was crew chief on a Can-Am, Group 7, McLaren. 1971-73 I ran Camaros in Trans-Am, IMSA Camel GT and SCCA races. Won 17 of 18 SCCA races in '72 (big deal, huh?). Crewed on Porsches and so on at Sebring, Daytona and European races. And, along the way, some NASCAR Grand National race cars. Love funny cars, top fuel, Formula One, USAC, INDY, New England NASCAR modifieds (asphalt),....uh, okay, I'll admit it.....ANYTHING mechanical.
For ten years I had a shop at Pomano, Florida, building and maintaining aerobatic aircraft, Pitts, Extras and so on in the 1980s. Got a VERY complete shop in SW Nebraska.
