Currently own a 1939 Ford Standard Coupe (mustang II, 350/350, Air/pwr steering (wife insisted) ) that has taken us all over Ohio, Kentucky (NSRA ),PA and Indiana - and a stock 1936 Ford that I use as a daily driver in the summer.
I got into this hobby when (at age 14) I helped my best friends dad pull a $10.00 1929 Ford Tudor Sdn from a barn in the mid-fifties. After putting new plugs, gas etc. in it was pulled by the farmers tractor and started on the first "clutch pop". After that afternoon, I was hooked. My first car was a 1931 Ford Coupe and from then on were a variety of Coupes and Sedans of different manufacturers from the '30's with the only "newer" car being a 1946 Ford purchased in 1966 for $50.00. Quite a contrast in pricing/condition from then to now.
