Fabber McGee

Born and lived most of my life in interior Alaska. Built most of a low seat T-bucket right after high school, then raced sprint cars for 10 years. First real job after high school was body and paint in the local Chevy dealer. Then worked as a pickup mechanic during construction of the Alaska pipeline in the mid-70's. Switched to welding heavy equipment in 79. Opened a welding shop in 91 doing mostly aluminum, building and repairing river boats. Built the equipment and opened a powder coating business in 2000, sold that at a profit in 2003 and went back to work with the operating engineers union welding on earth movers again. Took a job with the local power company in 2003 remodeling exhaust heat exchangers and got moved to control room operator before retiring in 2008.
