Dad was a hotrodder in the 40s - raced track roadsters, midgets and dry lakes. Met mom at a sports car race...I remember being on El Mirage Dry Lake when I was 2 years old. Dad was close friends with Tom Beatty. 1st race car I remember sitting in was Tom's Belly Tank. I can see El Mirage from my kitchen window. How could I possibly be anything other than a hotrodder? I'm a retired fabricator who worked on everything from vintage sprints and midgets to road racers to offroad race cars to lakes streamliners to hot rods. I also work as a Tech Inspector at offroad races which I've done since '73. I started doing Tech at road races when I was 7.
