I grew up in a wrecking yard in the early 60's. My dad was and still is a gearhead. We always had some kind of hot rod - daily driver and we have almost always had a shop. My first car was a 1957 Fairlane 500. I rebuilt the motor in high school shop class. I then swapped the 3 speed for one that had OD. We cut the springs in the front 1.5 coils and added wire wheels. Kinda gave it that SoCal rake. To this day I drive something that has been lowered. My truck has a 4/6 drop and sits in the weeds.
