I purchased my first car, a 49 Olds Rocket Coupe in 1963. Sold same in 1964 when Lyndon B. Johnson drafted me into the Army. Back home in 1967 and took ownership of a 57 BelAire, 2dr Htp w/238. After a few other nondescript autos I bought a new 1970 Challenger, 340, 4bbl, Hurst and posi; color was Go Man Go. Bought the 49 Olds coupe in my garage in 2011 and have been working on it since. It has the original 303 (rebuilt) but is backed up by a Muncie 20. Good Sounds exit from a pair of Smittys.
