Became an auto mechanic at age 17, then got into Drag Racing. Remained an auto mechanic until the late 80,s, early 90's. Also built racing automatic transmissions for a number of years for a large performance transmission company. Moved on to a more lucritive career. Still built and maintained cars as a hobby. Now I am in my mid fifties and my interests are not racing oriented, but hot rods of the past. Cars you drive and enjoy, not trailer queens and no "Rats". Rats and Rice annoy me... Of course my definition of Rat may differ from others. Satin paint is still cool to me and as is many other things some may call Rat oriented. I build for me and me only and I am proud of that, what others may think means nothing to me. I am not critical of others doing the same.
