It's not as cut and dried as that. Best guideline is that the essence (look and feel) should be "traditional."

I know those things don't have much footroom for three pedals, but I'd be tempted to run a Chevy 250 with a Saginaw four-speed and a dual carb...

I second VoodooTwin's recommendation. HAMB is for "traditional rods and customs" only, while Dogfight is much broader (with many of the same people).

Why not just move the "other builds"--the glass roadsters, for example--over to Ryan's sister site at www.dogfightmag.com? A lot of the same...
