5th Generation Texan, My Family came to Texas, in 1830's. Given Land Grant 320 acres. My family came to Virigina in 1690. We were Soldiers &
Farmers. We have Fought in all of America major Wars. My father was a Farmer, & also work for the Ford Motor Company at the Dallas Asembly Plant, til it closed in 1970. We always had Ford trucks, Cars, & Ford Tractors. As, a Boy. I would go to the Ford Plant on Open House, & when
They had Father/ Son Day. There was a time that as a son you could go & visit with your father on the assembly line. Provided that his job, couldn't affect line Production or safety issues. On Saturdays, if he worked overtime. If , he was working in the Staging Compound, his job
Was to repair defects to Cars & Trucks before they were Shipped. I was
Always Fascinated by the cars & Trucks being built.
