My facination for hotrod culture has been with me ever since I was taken to the speedway as a kid. A good friend of mine has very similar tastes in cars, art, and all things associated with Kustom culture. I'm never satisfied with the cars I own, so I make do by making alterations so they better suit my aesthetics. I studied Sculpture many years ago, and consider cars as sculptural forms. (the contemporary car world being very disappointing indeed). My tastes seem to go through cycles where I long for an open top '32 A model, then a to '55 caddy. For years now I've been collecting books and magazines on topics related to customising, salt flat racing and the general history of hotrod culture. I now have a committed habit for The Rodders Journal, Rolls & Pleats, Traditional Rod and Kulture. I'd better stop!
