I grew up in California in the 70's and 80's working on junk...I mean my cars. I have always been into cars! I bleed 30 weight. Ever since I was 12 or 13, all the way through high school, I would get what I could afford (usually non running non driving basket cases) and just try to get and keep them running, and drivable. I would hop them up when I could. I learned a lot (mostly what not to do). I then joined the Navy and was able to afford cars that actually ran and drove and were safe. I didn't have a place, tools or much time to fool around with projects, not to mention I was transferred a lot, so I got out of the hot rod game. I missed the "old days" (mid-life crisis I guess) and a few years back started to get back into to wrenching on beaters. It is amazing how much I have forgot, and how much I never new! At any rate, I enjoy the posts on this board and thought I would join.
