1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe and 1957 2 door post Chevy Belaire
    none
My present project in 2015 is a 1953 Plymouth Coupe with a 1956 Chrysler 354 Firepower Hemi Gasser / Pro Street. Why a 1953 Plymouth? Because that is what I had to drive in High School. We have now finished the back half with 4-link and 38" wheel tubs. Working on getting the body work done now. Then on a Rotisserie for the bottom. Will be Spies Hecker Blue Black (Blackest Black there is) clear coated with all Viper Red interior. Once this is finished on to a redo of the 1940 Ford Coupe. My grandson is now 15 and he is wanting to move on to the 40 Ford project. I have nearly found all the body trim NOS except or the windshield wiper towers. Bumpers will be re-chromed.

I am 68 years old and I built the 40 Ford Coupe about 1972 and parked it in 1978. I lost interest in it when I built a 40 Willys Coupe Pro Gas car and did some serious drag racing. I took the 40 out of mothballs last year (2006). The 327 Chevy engine had about 60 miles on it when I parked it. I was surprised how good the body cleaned up and the engine run after setting up for almost 30 years. I purchased my 1957 Chevy 2 dr post Belair about 1976 and never did anything with it. I decided I was getting too old to put off building it any longer so I started on it last year. My first hot rod was when I was about 15. A almost perfect 1946 Ford Coupe Body with a 1954 Chrysler 331 Hemi. Got drafted and stupidly sold the 46 Ford. The buyer cut up the 46 Ford body and put the Hemi in a 1940 Ford Pickup. I was really stuck on stupid selling the 46 Ford coupe.
