57 years old--Grew up in Charlotte, N.C. during the glory days of Holman-Moody and old skool NASCAR. Never the less-I lived and breathed drag racing, legal or otherwise. Factory muscle cars were just coming out and we loved taking our 55 Chevys and dusting the rich boys that could afford them. I was a huge Ford guy also--and could not get a flathead a.k.a boat anchor out of a 40 Coupe fast enough to put in a 289! A fact that I have spent the last twenty years trying to make up for...As I search out those old-timers to teach me about the flathead that I totally ignored as a kid and am now obsessed with!!
