My Old Man had no time or patients for Kids & their broken toys. I found a big headed nail to go in the cotter pin hole on the back axle of my tricycle. (I had no knowlege of cotter pins at that tender age.) I bent the nail over with a rock to keep it from coming out. That kept the wheel from coming off. This was my humble Hot Rod beginings. Jalopys are great because they harken back to a simpler time...A time that Will Rogers described as when "People had clean hearts but dirty fingernails". My Jalopy brings sanity back into my world.
