I got into car Because of my mom she rebuilt the entire front end of a 65 Impala in the street in Brooklyn NY i was so amazed after that would go down to the local repair shop and watch the guy's work,listen to them talk. They even let me help(Hold shit) and i was thrilled I was 12 and they had me pumping gas I would run to the customers cars Clean there windscreen Checked the oil ETC. I got a lot of tips being 12 and ambitious Cute ( now i get none?) When i was 14 I bought my first car 300 dollars 1949 olds futuramic 76 Straight 6 hydro select. That's when i fell in love! I did every thing i could to fix on this Car read books, ask advice,no help i was determined to impress my mom. I worked at that service station convinced the owner to let me work on my car there I would do free oil changes just so i could use his bay every Sunday for 3 year's. I Rebuilt every thing Including Motor and trans. over the years i Improved on everything disc brakes t400 posi 9" A/C power brakes Everything? then my wife got it in the divorce (Funny how old car's can catch on fire In a garage) and yes i still have it 2nd owner for over 30 years it's in PA with my mom(now her Car) she just got it started. She is 70 and still going i have two parts cars not 76's but 88's it's in primer and the interior is being redone. That's the short story.
