Added foil bubble insulation then multiple layers of carpet padding.---- My cheap helper at work...^ Have lots of it from exneighbor back in Illinois who was carpet installer. Those wires are for Taurus 3rd brake lite, dome lites, and rear door remote plus receiver for front doors and cowl vent.

Panel Progress------My head mechanic lookin in. Trying to keep the 50's theme yet want to keep up in the modern world pulling an old RV. The steering wheel has gotta go but don't know what to do about the column and levers. Kinda like them. That little yeller thing in right corner is door opener.

Making the 350 come alive.---Tranny cooler and other stuff temporary. Used a Jim W. MMII kit while Jim still ran his business. As his suggestion used T-Bird power rack. Not traditional but handy. Friends were using the original MMII crossmembers back in the 70's or whenever they came out. All it took was a big hammer to slide in a 39-40 Ford.

Roll pan even amazed me. I am not a body man but like to beat on car parts with heavy tools. Receiver hitch and trailer plug behind Monte Carlo flip up tag frame. Planned on adding 1950 Pontiac rear lites in Frenching buckets but decided not to cut holes in pan. Also was gonna put exhaust next to those lites thru chrome bezels. Now plan to keep original 39 Chevy/Olds type lights. Panel trucks from 1947-54 used 39 Chevy/Olds small tail lites mounted on body sides. Similar th HHR lites. Where'd they get that new idea? Ford panel trucks used 1941 Ford lites for about the same years.

Repairing door hinges and getting door gaps was a major headache. Battery behind right wheel. Kept all vents. cowl vent now two step power remote. One click opens half. One more click opens full. One more click closes fully. That side heater intake has the louvers filled but still liked the looks of an old timie truck. Remove all that stuff and ya might as well by a HHR or PT.
