My '55
Timeless look of a '55 (any Tri-5 for that matter) Chevy with no bumper and five-spoke wheels. Front wheels are original 1960s American Racing Torq Thrust 15x6 with a one-inch offset that makes the front side look deeper. I think the backspace is 1.5". Tires are Coker BFG Silvertown 6.40s.

Cars Done Right
'56 Chev post draggin' it out in C/Gas Supercharged back in about 1960. Note blower scoop peeking out of the hood!

Cars Done Right
Tri-5 clutch explosion back in the day. Original caption said the driver was unhurt. I'm not so sure.

Cars Done Right
Darn-near perfect '55 gasser in about 1959. This is what Gas Class '55s actually looked like early on, before all the nose-bleed-stanced axle cars changed what the term "gasser" meant.

Cars Done Right
Another recent shot of Jim Zakia's '55, restored and still raced. There's those "unobtanium" LeMans wheels up front.

31 Ford Erased 3
Looks like a nice project and priced right, nothing wrong with a 4 door [IMG]
I restored this '67 Taco 22 to use as a pit bike at Bonneville. I can no longer ride it after back surgery, so it's off to a new home. Fun while it lasted!
The Taco is now in the collection of former Speedway stat Gene Woods. It got a good home.
