Cars Done Right
Two of four original American Racing "peaked spoke" 15 x 6 Sport Wheels that I had restored for my stock '67 RS/SS 396 Camaro.

My '55
The image that got into my head as a kid and that led me to building my own, actual-size version a few years ago. Revell's 1964 first-issue '55 Chevy hardtop kit. Too bad Revell didn't make it a post sedan body but this kit launched many a young boy into a life-long love of Tri-5 Chevys. I display this original, unopened kit inside my '55 when I show the car.

Cars Done Right
Bill Fowler's "Solo/Blair's Speed Shop" '55 gasser, built by Blair's in Pasadena in the mid-1960s and recently restored. Car was a race car back in the day and has track time at Lions, etc. Yeah, that lady is pretty but I wish she wasn't in the picture!

Cars Done Right
Revell '55 Chevy box art, original issue of the kit, 1964. The inspiration for my '55 and probably thousands of other '55s over the years! Kit is a hardtop, not a post sedan.

Cars Done Right
Jim Zakia's killer C/Gas '55 back in the 1960s. Looks like a pair of American Racing LeMans mags up front, also known as "unobtanium."

Cars Done Right
Jim Zakia's '55 restored and looking fantastic. It just doesn't get any better than this.

My '55
The Cut. Thanks go to Brad Barrie for expertly weidling the cutoff wheel and jigsaw! Wheel is a vintage Appliance (Torq Thrust copy) in 15x8.5 and the tire is a Hurst 30-inch cheater. (Yes, I have a pair of original American Racing 15x8.5s that I need to swap on.) Update: Swapped these wheels and tires out in 2010 for real 1960s American Torq-Thrusts 15x8.5 and Radir 10-inch two-groove cheater slicks.

Looks like a nice project and priced right, nothing wrong with a 4 door [IMG]
I restored this '67 Taco 22 to use as a pit bike at Bonneville. I can no longer ride it after back surgery, so it's off to a new home. Fun while it lasted!
The Taco is now in the collection of former Speedway stat Gene Woods. It got a good home.
