28 Jalopy racer
The mid plate and its mount, a little overkill but it was designed to be built with the engine and trans as stressed members with a double "K" crossmember and minimal boxing plates.

The crossmember cut down and fitted. A repop front engine mount, installed solid. The engine and trans are stressed members, there is a mid plate not shown here. The axle spring, perches and spindles were taken from a car I switched back to a '32 heavy axle and the correct spring, spindles and perches.

The front frame horns were ripped off and the cross member was gone. I had an aftermarket dropped "A" cross member left over from another build. This illustrates how much I pinched the frame in the front. The cross member was meant for an unmodified frame width.

Sandy Belond's Muffler Shop roadster
Detail of exhaust port outlet. The Belond W headers featured relocated flanges that allowed the ports to be moved outward yet maintain the stock flange bolt pattern.

Sandy Belond's Muffler Shop roadster
Detail of the intake port runners. Although not visible the runner shape is actually that of a velocity stack, meaning it tapers like a funnel or cone from the flange to the bowl.

Sandy Belond's Muffler Shop roadster
The block was polished to relieve stress risers, like the race engines of old. Notice the high nickel content of this block, it was polished nearly 8 months ago and has not began to rust.

Barely visible are the surface shapes of the deck relief they vary in depth and angle about 2.5-degrees from the intake to the exhaust side. Also visible are the custom coolant passage plugs made by Evans Speed Equipment. Originally they were crude steel plugs but now they add structural integrity to the deck also. The machine work was all handled by Evans and the valve job by Slovers.

31 Ford Erased 3
Looks like a nice project and priced right, nothing wrong with a 4 door [IMG]
I restored this '67 Taco 22 to use as a pit bike at Bonneville. I can no longer ride it after back surgery, so it's off to a new home. Fun while it lasted!
The Taco is now in the collection of former Speedway stat Gene Woods. It got a good home.
