The vintage Cal Custom Cover after polishing. July 2012.

Just noticed this pic. Looks really trick ! Is this cover for the stock rear axle ? I've never seen one before. Will it fit 55 56 57 trucks? 2nd series?

This finned aluminum cover was made by Cal Custom back in the 60-70s for the General Motors 10-bolt rear end. The rear end itself is a posi-traction unit from a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo. You just don't see many of these old covers anymore. It looked pretty crappy when I first laid eyes on it!
