The 327 out of my 55 Chevy. I freshened it up with the heads rebuilt, a hot new Comp Extreme Energy cam, and a new high volume oil pump. I'd been running a Muncie 4 speed with it in my 55, but the 56 had a race-built 400 turbo with a 3500 stall converter. The 56 had 4.88 gears with a spool. It made for a car that was fun around town and for short drives, but not much good for long trips or highway use.
