Master Size Difference

Here is the side by side of the old and new. Yeah, its BIG. I knew it would be larger, but still. Width is the biggest issue with mounting it in the original hole. Wanted the steel lid so that I could make my own remote fill. I didn't want to lift the floor board or hoist it up to check level or fill in the future.

Gave up on installing this brute. Ten pounds into a five pound hole wasn't working out. I could fit it physically but I couldn't get the lines connected clear of the clutch lever. Couldn't move it forward enough for ports to clear since the steering shaft limited that movement. I tried to find a hard parts provider or rebuilder that had component dimensions ~ but I guess they just don't provide that info. I might go stroll through the local auto dismantlers yard and take some real-time measurements on prospective units. Kind of like wandering around in there for ideas for things anyway.
