33 coupe 8.8 Ford Narrowed Rear
I bought this rear end knowing that I would most likely have to shorten it. I bought and extra short side axle. You shorten the rear by taking out exactly what the short axle measures. A poor man's narrowed rear is the result. I made a "C" channel jig to hold the pieces of axle while I checked for the correct measurement and squareness to get a good weld. After some spot welds and checking measurements...finish the welding. I should have taken some more pics. Here is the finished rear end with 2 7/8" taken out to make it fit the 33 coupe. I will work on cleaning up the other end and mounting the coil over lower shock mounts.
