Hot Rod TV on Speed Channel filmed an episode on the build up of the Black Widow RPU and it's journey to the Grand National Roadster show.
The show air's tomorrow morning (Sat, 14th) 8am west coast (later east coast) on Speed Channel. Will re-run of course, the title is "Hollywood Hot Rods"

    Maybe worth TIVO :)

Absolutely beautiful truck. I'm not old enough to remember the model, so with that factor of coolness out of the picture, this is one of the few trucks that has really inspired me to get off my butt and build one. I thought it was very well balanced between custom and vintage. Looked slick and classy with out being over the top stupid.

Just checked the Speed TV listings, and it's going to repeat @ 4am Pacific time.

Dang....no DVR to catch it. Too bad they don't have a site like NBC does with HULU.

Didn't the Big "T" car also come after the model?

Either way, the Black Widow car looks so much nicer than the model ever did, yet it looks just like the model. I don't know how that works, but congratulations none the less.

Nice show and of course rod. As a long-time model builder too, that part of it was great. So... who's gonna puff-up and then clone the first AMT 3n1 Deuce?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Or, should I say, who is going to do ALL THREE versions like the box art? That was my first and all time favorite kit. Gary

Don't know who made it to the GNRS in Pomona but the Black Widow build was really cool. It and the huge box cover brought back a lot of memories. I think I built about 10 of them as a kid..........

It was a great episode, really enjoyed seeing some of the behind the scenes build process. Sure wish it would have been a whole series. It was neat seeing Keith and Jordon both get interviewd on the same episode and they interviewed Jordon again on the following HR TV program regarding the 60th GNRS. Lots of air time lately for CA hot rod boys.:D
