  2. Damn it. I am sorry that it worked out this way but at least by canceling we can be counted as responsible citizens. Not bad for a bunch of hoodlums.

Thanks, it’s better to do it now then wait till much closer, then have to do it. Hope everyone stays safe and be responsible and respectful to others when you’re out in public.

Damn, that hurts but it's likely for the best. I'll let MoKan have my fee.

Did you have any 2020 HAMB Drags T-Shirts printed? If so I'll buy one.

I wasn't going but this whole gig is picking scabs of all kinds. I mean really, can't we all just call this stuff hate speech? I could live my whole life and never hear covid, cancelled, new normal, distancing, pandemic, mask, safer at home. To quote one of my faves, The Beastie Boys:

"Well I think I'm losing my mind, this time
This time I'm losing my mind, that's right
Said I think I'm losing my mind, this time
This time, I'm losing my mind"

    We can't front on that.

And ha, anyone who knows that one will probably have it in their head all day so be glad I didn't drop a Taylor Swift...

That gives me another year to get the Fly out of hibernation and get my tow car finished.

Well, I expect I'll be at mokan that day anyway, the track has had this blocked out all year, so I expect they will still open up for grudge or something. Maybe I'll see some of you there. Heck, I have to go to work everyday, not much different except no fun.

Very disappointing news but understood. I know it had to be a very hard decision to make.
It is however probably the right decision. Thanks for the offer to assist the race track by allowing
us to donate our registration fees it too them. I know this stuff has been pretty hard on them. Please
send mine to Carl with my regards! LOL

Ryan thanks for all you do, it is very much appreciated!

  16. Bummer, was hoping to take my girlfriend/fiance this year since BTT50s washed out. She digs cars. Guess I will bring her as my wife in 21.

  17. Damn! This sucks. This covid horseshit is really getting on my nerves! Even so, good call, Ryan. It'd be the shits if anyone got sick [or worse] at the HAMB drags. Hopefully next year will be better.

Sorry about the cancellation and times are really tough. I have been "functionally retired" but, like the HAMB drags, hope to live to race another day. Best to all.

This is a shame to hear, but a great call.

And I will second the motion, that if you already have some 2020 shirts printed up, count me in for at least a couple.

If not, I’d bet we could scare up enough orders here!

a decision being made all over the Country for a wide variety of events - all of us are ready to hit the road and go but, reality is that this is not the time - like having a motor the sounds pretty good and when revved up a little something starts knocking and gets louder - Thanks for doing the right thing - everyone be safe out there

Looks as if the only correct decision was made. The COVID-19 virus is as bad as its ever been.

  23. Disappointing for sure. We are all in this together and if you’re not part of the solution you are part of the problem! Is there a way to just donate to MoKan directly?

You did the right thing scheduling the Drags and you also did the right thing now to cancel. Leadership is hard but is worth the reward.

Good idea. I will hold you to it. I miss the "FLY". Lots of good memories.

Good decision, but I will miss seeing everyone. Our area has been hit with a major outbreak lately.

You always want to error on the right side of history and putting everyone's family first is the correct thing to do.
Once this virus is over everyone can go make to their normal lifes.

Sad, but the right call. It's been on my bucket list to get out to one and also revisit some places from my Ft. Wood days. Thought this would be the year. Next year for sure.

  29. Depending on when you were at Leonard Wood you will not recognize much of it. Shit, quick edit. I just looked on Google maps and I barely recognize ANY of it.

You did the right thing. I hate missing it, especially two years in a row.
