I just barely saw this drive past my house. I bolted for my shoes, grabbed
my camera and went searching the neighborhood. It lives two blocks from
my home and I'd never seen it. It's a '40 Studebaker with a warmed over
Chevy 350 and four speed. You may not dig the rally wheels but they look
good on it and the tires fit the fender openings really well. Just a nice car.

Sorry, no pics, I passed a guy on the highway driving a pink & white 57 Tbird. Looked stock. At 80 MPH, my attention was on driving, not pictures.

I, for one, am glad you keep your mind on your (high speed) driving. Who needs a fuzzy or
partial photo of a car? If I see something worth shooting I'll follow the car a reasonable
distance and ask the owner if I may shoot his car, and I have no problem talking to an
owner who is outside his home with his car. I want to be able to get the best random shots
I can, for my own collection and to post here. In all cases but two that I remember very
well, everyone has been receptive to me and my interest in their car. On the other hand,
my wife thinks I'm nuts.

 

Not quite “high speed”, just Chicago highway driving. Was in the middle lane. Got passed by a cop in a marked squad car.

He did a great job on the build, fantastic car from top to bottom.

 

I spotted this in the Ol' Town, touristy section of town. The owner is a retired LEO and it turns out we had met last year at a car show/cruise because I had my '50 panel there while he had his 'other old ride' so this is the first time I've seen it. It's got the original 6 running gear.
