Vintage shots from days gone by!

The grille on this 56 looks different than stock. Anyone know what it is?

 

I think it's the original grille with some of the bars removed.

 

Isn't that Chili Catallo's coupe? The blue and white one on the cover of the Beachboy's album "Little Duece Coupe"? The grille shell and lake pipes on that car are pretty wild.

 

Cars had real class and style back years ago along with plenty of chrome.

Today cars are not has fancy and today we have plastic which is made to look like real chrome.

Today we have cars which are made to look like cars.

 

If it looks like a "car" then it must look like these:
1.
an automobile.
2. a vehicle running on rails, as a streetcar or railroad car.

3. the part of an elevator, balloon, modern airship, etc., that carries the passengers, freight, etc.

4. British Dialect . any wheeled vehicle, as a farm cart or wagon.

5. Literary. a chariot, as of war or triumph
Something is wrong here ! I didn't write the above.

 

It's a stock grille with 4 horizontal bars removed. Old school modification.

 

Did I miss something? I went through page 4556 3 times and every thread had a vehicle of some sort in it, albeit a tail light and bumper corner.
